From &Liebe: The leather we are currently using is called VONO OIL from Tochigi Leather, and it has some grain and some doesn't.
We consulted with Tochigi Leather through their craftsman, and they readily agreed to develop an original leather.
-It has the right hardness to protect the pen from impact.
-It is smooth leather with a smooth surface.
We started developing a leather that met these two criteria.
While retaining a matte texture similar to the current VONO OIL, we made the leather harder and firmer, and increased its strength to protect from external impacts.
*When we tried to make the natural leather version with smooth leather, the color changed considerably. We decided that it would be difficult to produce smooth leather in the natural leather.
The natural leather version will remain the current VONO OIL with both smooth and textured leather

We use Tochigi leather. The VONO OIL leather from Tochigi leather feels good in the hand, and features natural grain and beautiful aging.
This product uses Tochigi leather, which is characterized by its natural grain. Depending on the part of the leather there are areas with strong grain/texture and areas with more subtle grain. The unique grain makes the leather's appearance one of a kind in the world. When you receive your product, take a look at the grain and enjoy the soft, fluffy texture.

The button closure is made with brass.

The story behind creating this product:
When &Liebe discovered the Hobonichi Weeks planner, he realized that he could not find a cover that met his needs: A simple, compact leather cover that protected his pen and had pockets to hold small bits of stationery. He decided to create his own.
