BOUQUET OF FLOWERS Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890) "Bouquet of Flowers in a Vase" (1890) Although he enjoys global popularity and a unique presence today, his life was filled with hardship. Amidst his deep anguish, he found strength to face challenges, as well as healing and peace, in art. This work, with its distinctive blue and ochre tones and beautiful brick-shaped hatching, is said to be firmly connected to the landscape he painted shortly before his death in Auvers. Collection: Metropolitan Museum of Art, one of the world's largest art museums, located in Manhattan, New York City, USA.
